It’s Katie Linendoll!
Katie shatters the mold of the typical technology expert and host, and is known for being simultaneously quirky, well-spoken, geeky, stylish, down-to-earth, and intelligent. She is a host, producer, and technology expert with thousands of hours of live television experience. Her UP presentation “Are You Future Proof?” is guaranteed to be both enlightening and entertaining.
Katie has been enamored with science and technology for as long as she can remember. At 14, she taught herself how to write sophisticated programs and build computers from scratch; by 18, she held a certificate in computer networking and was enrolled at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she earned a degree in Information Technology New Media.
Katie is a CNET contributor; a CNN commentator; a tech contributor for The Nate Berkus Show; and a spokesperson for Polaroid, where she helped launch Lady Gaga’s Grey Label line at CES. She has showcased her expertise on the Style Network and AOL.com, blogged for Oprah.com and DELL, and worked with HP on a multimedia project. Most notably, she co-hosted A&E’s Emmy-nominated series We Mean Business.
Katie also knows sports, and began her on-air career while still in college as the host of SportsZone on ESPN2. After graduation, she landed a production job with ESPN and went on to win an Emmy for her work on ESPN’s SportsCenter.
